The Stitt Solar Story

In 1978, that passion turned into action with the founding of Stitt Energy Systems in Rogers, Arkansas. The company started by installing solar collectors for domestic water heating. Recognizing the growing demand for sustainable solutions, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers hired Stitt to equip campground bathrooms with solar water heating systems—ensuring hot showers even in remote locations.

This hands-on experience deepened the company’s expertise in harnessing solar power. As solar technology advanced, Stitt Energy Systems naturally expanded into solar electric systems, evolving into a leader in energy-efficient home design. The company became renowned for its Stitt Homes, which integrated passive solar principles and high-performance building techniques to maximize energy efficiency.

In 2019, Stitt Energy Systems transitioned into The Stitt Group, an umbrella organization that expanded its offerings. As part of this evolution, Stitt Solar was launched as a dedicated division focused exclusively on solar energy and battery storage, serving Northwest and Central Arkansas, Eastern Oklahoma and Southern Missouri. 

Today, Stitt Solar is Arkansas’ trusted name in solar energy.
